Church Planting in Albania
Albania has approximately 0.36% born-again Christians, despite the hard work of many missionary families for three decades. There is a great challenge of a church always on the move due to the desire for immigration. It is a small country greatly affected by its history, initially being invaded through time by different empires and countries which has created a sense of adaptation in its population without the new things being an essential part of their lives. Albania has a large Muslim background, with a minority who are Orthodox or Catholic. But only a minority are practicing their religion. Many Albanians, recognizing themselves as part of a religion, are just trying to go back to their roots to affirm historical and religious ties with young people, because within the Communist dictatorship that existed, religious worship was prohibited.
