Bolivia: Seminary Campus Remodel

Project #71998
Bolivia Latin America Theological Education

For over 70 years, Hebron Theological Seminary in Santa Cruz, Bolivia, has prepared men and women for ministry. Since Avant missionaries helped found the school in 1953, more than 450 graduates have been making an impact for Christ as pastors, church leaders, and missionaries. Hebron Seminary meets a vital need in Bolivia for trained pastors and leaders who can shepherd a rapidly growing church and combat common confusion and false teachings that arise and spread quickly.

With only 45% of the school’s annual budget coming from tuition, Hebron has relied on outside financial support to sustain its campus and programs. The need to raise these funds can be a heavy burden for the school’s leadership and staff.

In the face of this challenge, Hebron’s leadership has devised an innovative plan to help the school become more self-sustaining. They plan to re-purpose the second floor of their office building by refurbishing the space and creating five offices and one executive conference room that local churches and ministries can rent. This will provide supplemental income to support the seminary’s operations.

Avant is partnering with Hebron to raise $41,000 for this renovation project. The funds will provide building materials and cover the costs of labor. We’re excited to assist Hebron with this project that will allow the staff to keep the seminary’s doors wide open while investing more deeply in their students.
