Mexico: Focused Discipleship
Churches in Mexico are generally very passionate about evangelism however; there is often a lack of follow-up to help new believers grow in their faith. The pressures of the world and the constant bombardment of anti-Biblical messages can be overwhelming, especially for the youth in the church. Through discipleship and practical teaching of scripture, we want to help believers stand up to the social pressures and negative patterns of life around them, so they can experience freedom in Christ and live the abundant life God has for them.
Avant missionaries, along with a team of national leaders, are developing content for seminars that will be offered to churches on topics such as “How to Close the Door to Addictions” and “How to Disciple Others.” The national leadership team will then assist and equip church leaders with a follow-up plan to disciple their members and help them apply Scripture to their lives in very practical ways.
This project will cover the cost of 12 to 16 training events over the next two years as well as assist with the creation and distribution of discipleship materials. Please pray with us that through these events church leaders will receive the encouragement and support they need to help believers in Mexico bear much fruit and bring glory to God as they live sold out for Christ.
