Poland: Church Planting Initiative
For over 20 years, Avant has been working to plant healthy, reproducing churches in Poland. Now, those congregations have initiated an exciting partnership with other evangelical churches all over Poland to collaborate and plant new churches in the 700 cities that have no church. Local church leaders have the desire to be trained and equipped to send their own people to start churches in the unreached parts of their country.
Avant has created a project to help facilitate the growth of this church planting initiative. A national survey has already been conducted among half of the evangelical pastors in the country. This survey assessed each church’s awareness of the need for church planting, their experience, and future plans. Based on the results of this survey, Polish evangelical church leaders gathered to create a strategy for planting new churches across the country, especially in the cities where there are currently no churches.
With a strategy in place, this project will provide the funds and resources necessary to create an interdenominational network of church planting focused pastors, leaders, and churches. This network will help meet the great need for encouragement, mentoring, and support. It will also help to sustain the churches and leaders who are implementing the church planting strategy that has been created.
Your financial investment in this project will propel this initiative forward by providing resources that will enable Polish church planters to reach their own people with the gospel, to plant new churches where there are none, and to build up the few churches that have been established.
