SE Asia: Transforming Business Leaders
Avant has a team in Southeast Asia working to plant churches in a city where less than 0.1% of the people know Jesus. It is not illegal in the country to become a Christian, however, those who come to faith in Jesus face many challenges from the government, society, and family.
The city is developing rapidly and many people, especially millennials, are venturing into the world of entrepreneurship. Business owners want to better themselves and their businesses, so there is a high level of interest in learning international business principles. Recognizing this opportunity, our workers are partnering with a business development program called Successful Business Practices (SBP) to provide owners of small to medium-sized businesses with in-depth training in finance, marketing, HR, and strategy.
The program will mobilize Christian business men and women from the U.S. who want to partner with us to make an eternal impact in this unreached city. These business professionals will use their experience and knowledge to teach seminars on various topics related to running a successful business. Our team will then work with the attendees after the training is complete to help them implement the principles.
We are seeking funds to help cover costs like printing and translating materials, renting a space for the trainings, and paying for interpreters. Our team’s goal is to provide quality training and resources for business owners, and through this initiative, gain the privilege of engaging with people on a spiritual level and sharing the message of Jesus.
