More Than a Basket of Eggs

God is using his faithful obedience to strengthen other believers and carry the truth of the Gospel to people who might otherwise never hear it.

Carrying Hope from Village to Village

Amari* is a humble egg seller who travels from community to community with a basket full of eggs. What makes his journey unique is not what he sells, but the hope he carries along the way.

Through the East Africa Audio Bible Project, Amari received an Audio Bible. As he travels from village to village selling eggs, he listens to Scripture, meditates on God’s Word, and is continually refreshed by the truth. Amari says the Audio Bible has strengthened his faith and helped him stay spiritually grounded even on long, tiring days.

Amari, an egg seller, sits on a motorbike outdoors beside stacked crates, holding a small audio device, representing how he shares Scripture through an Audio Bible as he travels between villages.Along his route, Amari often encourages his customers with Scripture, sharing the love of Christ in simple yet meaningful ways. God is using his faithful obedience to strengthen other believers and carry the truth of the Gospel to people who might otherwise never hear it.

As one of the few people in his village who has studied sign language, Amari has also become a messenger of God’s love to the overlooked Deaf community. Many deaf individuals visit his home regularly to learn and receive encouragement. Even with the little he has, Amari is shining the light of Christ.

The Gospel Beyond Every Barrier

Amari’s story is a powerful reminder that the Gospel can cross every barrier—sound, language, distance, and circumstance. He is a testimony to how one tool, placed in the hands of a willing servant, can carry the Gospel farther than we imagine.

We are grateful for those who have supported the East Africa Audio Bible ministry and helped make stories like Amari’s possible. If you would like to help provide more Audio Bibles, you can learn more through the link below.
