A Growing Church Plant in Poland

God continues to work and move in our Poland church plant. One of our two goals for this year was to develop our children’s ministry at the church. Toward that end, many of the parents at church have met to discuss ideas for the children’s ministry. It is exciting to see the families at church take ownership of the spiritual growth of their children, and work together in a healthy process.
A couple of years ago I read a blog entitled 25 Things I’ve Learned from Church Planting. A lot of things mentioned on the blog resonated with me at the time, but there has been one that has stuck with me:
“Sometimes church planting feels like you’re pretending to be a church. And then one day (after backbreaking work and lots of prayer) you realize God has built an honest-to-goodness church right before your eyes.”
There is still a lot of work to be done, as our church plant is barely four years old, but when I sit with these parents of the church who are passionate about seeing their children follow Jesus, I am thankful that at some point in the journey the question quit being “Are we a church?” and the question became “What are the many ways that God wants to use this church?”
