Church Planting

Church Planting

Avant’s goal is to plant and develop mature, reproducing churches led by national believers. Our church planting principles and metrics provide a snapshot of a church’s growth, helping inform our strategy and guide next steps as we pursue our vision: missionally healthy churches among the unreached.

Over time, we aim to see these thirteen characteristics present in every church we help establish:

  • People being saved

  • Disciples making disciples

  • Believers maturing

  • Biblically qualified elders

  • Scripture as the final authority

  • Governance independent of missionaries

  • Healthy body life

  • Locally funded ministry
